Privacy Policy for CareRadius

CareRadius ("we," "our," or "us") provides a Google Sheets™ add-on designed to help organizations optimize member-to-leader assignments. This Privacy Policy describes how we collect, use, and disclose information when you use our add-on.

1. Data We Collect

CareRadius is designed as a client-side application. This means:

• We do not store your data on our servers.

• All processing of your spreadsheet data (Member lists, Leader lists) happens directly inside your Google Spreadsheet or on your local browser.

• Your data remains within your own Google Drive™ environment.

1.1 Information Accessed

To function, the add-on accesses specific data from the Google Spreadsheet where you have installed it:

• Sheet Data: Names, addresses, and group assignments found in your "Members" and "Leaders" tabs.

• Geo-Coordinates: Latitude and Longitude data generated by the Google Maps API.

1.2 User Account Information

We may collect your email address solely for the purpose of:

• Verifying your license status (Free vs. Premium).

• Communicating important product updates or support responses.

2. How We Use Your Data

We use the data accessed from your spreadsheet exclusively to perform the services you request:

• Geocoding: Converting addresses into coordinates (using Google Maps Platform).

• Distance Calculation: Calculating driving/walking distances between members and leaders.

• Optimization: suggesting the best leader assignments based on capacity and distance.

We do not sell, trade, or rent your data to third parties.

3. Data Retention and Deletion 

CareRadius operates as a Google Sheets Add-on. We do not transfer, store, or retain your personal data (such as Member addresses, Leader details, or Map coordinates) on our own servers. All data is processed transiently and remains stored exclusively within your own Google Spreadsheet.

• Retention: Data is retained in your Google Sheet for as long as you choose to keep the file. CareRadius does not maintain a separate copy of your spreadsheet data.

• Deletion: Since we do not store your data, you do not need to submit a deletion request to us. To "delete" your data, simply delete the rows in your spreadsheet or delete the Google Sheet file entirely from your Google Drive.

• Account Data: We retain your email address solely for the purpose of license verification (via Stripe). You may request the deletion of your license account by contacting support@careradius.io.

4. Google API Services User Data Policy

CareRadius's use and transfer to any other app of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

5. Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party services to provide functionality:

• Google Maps Platform: Used for geocoding and distance matrix calculations. Their privacy policy can be found here.

• Stripe (if applicable): Used for processing subscription payments securely. We do not store your credit card information.

6. Data Security

Since CareRadius operates within the Google Workspace environment, your data benefits from the robust security infrastructure of Google Cloud. We employ reasonable measures to protect the limited information we process (such as license keys).

7. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page.
